  The Chief Fire Officer, Sgt. Steve Shirley MBE, is a Crew Commander for the Royal Air Force Fire and Rescue Service, and is currently at a Category 4A airfield and has over 22 years of experience. His qualifications include Breathing Apparatus Instructor, Breathing Apparatus Servicer, HGV2A (equivalent of EFAD), First Aid Instructor and Fire Prevention.

  The crew also under go regular training to ensure the highest possible standards.
